Future Karaoke brings together live music, a love of building software, and first-hand experience of hospitality and entertainment. Here’s a little about the two of us.

Live music & software

James

The singer behind the software.

James is a singer who toured with the Memphis Belle Orchestra and has performed at hundreds of venues across the UK. He knows the feeling of stepping up to a microphone, reading a room and finding the song that gets people going.

Off stage, his downtime often looked rather different: a laptop open, another idea taking shape, and time spent coding and developing new software.

Future Karaoke brings those two sides together. The performer wants a night with personality; the developer wants the practical bits to work smoothly. Both matter when there’s a room waiting for the next song.

Hospitality & entertainment

Elyese

A feel for the people in the room.

Before moving into the entertainment industry, Elyese owned a restaurant in Margate, Kent. That meant seeing a venue from the other side: welcoming people in, looking after guests and keeping an evening moving.

She later worked on awards ceremonies for the vape industry, taking that hospitality background into live entertainment.

Her experience brings a venue perspective to Future Karaoke: how a night feels for the guests, and what it takes for the people behind the scenes to run it well.

We come at it from different directions, but we care about the same thing: a night people enjoy being part of. The regular with a favourite ballad. The first-timer finding their nerve. The friends cheering them on from a table.

Future Karaoke is our way of bringing live entertainment, hospitality and software together—with useful tools, a bit of theatre and room for people to make the night their own.
